POE_BOARD Description
A Raspberry Pi Model B+, Raspberry Pi 2 Model B, Raspberry Pi 3 Model B, or Raspberry Pi 4 Model B can be powered over an Ethernet line using an extra board called the Raspberry Pi POE (Power over Ethernet) Board. It removes the need for a separate power source and makes it easier to set up your Raspberry Pi-based projects, especially those that are used in places where power outlets are difficult to access.
Using the IEEE 802.3af or 802.3at PoE+ protocols, the Raspberry Pi POE Board powers the Raspberry Pi over an Ethernet wire. There is no need for soldering during installation of the board. It is simply plugged into the Raspberry Pi's 40-pin GPIO header.
