EEE-TC1V221V Description


The EEE-TC1V221V is an Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitor. A pure aluminum foil anode electrode (+) with an etched surface makes up the anode electrode of an aluminum electrolytic capacitor, which is a polarized electrolytic capacitor. By anodizing the aluminum, a very thin insulating layer of aluminum oxide is created, serving as the capacitor's dielectric. The rough oxide layer surface is covered with a non-solid electrolyte, which theoretically acts as the second electrode (cathode) (-) of the capacitor. The electrical connection to the negative terminal of the capacitor is made by a second piece of aluminum foil known as "cathode foil," which contacts the electrolyte.
