CAT4238TD-GT3 Description
CAT4238TD-GT3 developed by ON Semiconductor is a type of DC/DC step−up converter able to provide an accurate constant current ideal for driving LEDs. It can be used with small-value external ceramic capacitors and inductors because it is able to operate at a fixed switching frequency of 1 MHz. A wide range of input supply voltages up to 5.5 V supports LED currents up to 40 mA, thus the device is well-suited for battery-powered applications. In the case of “Open LED” fault, it enters a very low-power operating mode.
