The primary benefit of the MC68HC000EI16 has reduced power consumption. The MC68HC000EI16 dissipates an order of magnitude less power than the HMOS MC68000. The MC68HC000EI16 is an implementation of the M68000 16/-32-bit microprocessor architecture.
