MC36231 Overview
For protection, PTC thermistors are packaged in SMD/SMT packages. Packaged in the Cut Tape, these PTC thermistors are safe to handle. Using PTC thermistors at -40°C temperature should be their minimum operating temperature. There must not be an increase in temperature above 85°C for this thermistor to work. A PTC thermistor could supply 12V voltage when it is in operation. When it is operational, the thermistor should be able to supply 12V voltage. These thermistors are rated for DC circuit voltage of 12V. The PTC thermistors should emit 1W heat. In order to avoid overheating, PTC thermistors should be kept at a 100A current. A DC circuit cannot operate with a voltage above 12V.
