USB2512B-AEZG Description
A 2-port, high-speed, low-power Hub Controller IC for embedded USB applications is the USB2512B-AEZG. The USB251xB family is a USB port expansion solution for applications that demand extremely low power and a small footprint without sacrificing performance. It does this by leveraging Microchip's cutting-edge MultiTRAKTM technology, which provides industry-leading data throughput in mixed-speed USB environments. More than 30 programmable capabilities, including as PortMap, PortSwap, and PHYBoost, which are exclusive to Microchip, are intended to help system designers streamline PCB layout and reduce bill-of-material costs. Every downstream port on the USB251xB hubs can be made to support the Charging Downstream Port feature of the USB Battery Charging 1.1 specification. A CDP uses a regular USB connection to provide universal battery charging capacity to a conforming mobile phone or portable electronic device.
