MCP23S17T-E/ML Description
A 16-bit I/O expander made by Microchip called the MCP23S17T-E/ML communicates with other devices using the Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI). Using just two communication lines, it enables a microcontroller to communicate with as many as 16 digital inputs or outputs. Open-drain, push-pull, interrupt-on-change, and many other input and output configurations are supported by the device. The MCP23S17T-E/ML is a flexible and adaptable solution for a range of applications thanks to its programmable pull-up resistors and variable interrupt output pins. The device is offered in a small 28-pin QFN packaging and operates over a broad voltage range of 1.8V to 5.5V.
