LT1964IS5-BYP#TRMPBF Description
A micropower low noise, low dropout negative regulator is the LT®1964. The device has a 340mV dropout voltage and can deliver 200mA of output current. The LT1964 is a great option for battery-powered applications thanks to its low quiescent current (30 A operating and 3 A shutdown). In dropout, the quiet current is tightly controlled.
Low output noise is one of the LT1964's additional characteristics. Over a bandwidth of 10Hz to 100kHz, output noise can be decreased to 30VRMS by adding an external 0.01F bypass capacitor. The LT1964 can function with modest output capacitors and is stable with values as low as 1 F. It is possible to employ tiny ceramic capacitors instead of adding ESR as is typical with other regulators.
