A maximum operating temperature of 185°C ensures that NTC thermistors can operate reliably. In order to keep their reliability up, NTC thermistors can operate at -40°C. There are 2 terminations on these NTC thermistors. A NTC thermistor must have the 2 pins connected in order to function properly. NTC thermistors can operate at 2A without much degeneration of the fuse elements.
