LT3050EDDB-5#PBF Description
A micro-power, low noise, low dropout voltage (LDO) linear regulator is the LT3050EDDB-5#PBF. The components deliver an output current of 100mA with a 340mV dropout voltage. A 10nF bypass capacitor soft-starts the reference and decreases output noise to 30μVRMS over a bandwidth of 10Hz to 100kHz. The LT3050EDDB-5#PBF is the perfect IC for durable, high reliability applications because to its 45V input voltage rating, precise current limit, and diagnostic functionality.
The current limit of the LT3050EDDB-5#PBF, which is accurate to ±5% over a wide input voltage and temperature range, is programmed by a single resistor. The LT3050EDDB-5#PBF's minimum output current monitor, essential for spotting open-circuit issues, is controlled by a single resistor. One-hundredth of the output current is the source current for the current monitor function. If the LT3050EDDB-5#PBF is in current limit, operating below its minimal output current (open-circuit), or is in thermal shutdown, a logic FAULT pin asserts low.
With low ESR ceramic capacitors, the LT3050EDDB-5#PBF enhances stability and transient responsiveness, needing a minimum of 2.2μF. In addition to an adjustable version with an output voltage range down to the 0.6V reference, the LT3050EDDB-5#PBF is also available in fixed output voltages of 3.3V and 5V.
