LT1763CS8-2.5#TR Description


The micropower, low noise, and low dropout regulators in the LT?1763 series. The devices have a dropout voltage of 300 mV and can deliver 500 mA of output current. They are the perfect option because of their low 30A quiescent current, which is designed for use in battery-powered systems. Quiescent current is well controlled; unlike many other regulators, it does not increase during dropout.

Low output noise is one of the LT1763 regulators' important characteristics.

Output noise decreases to 20 VRMS over a 10Hz to 100kHz bandwidth with the addition of an external 0.01F bypass capacitor. With output capacitors as low as 3.3 F, the LT1763 regulators are stable. There is no need for the series resistance that other regulators demand when using small ceramic capacitors.
