No, there's no difference in quality. XLR & 1/4" TRS are "balanced" and allow you to run cables longer than 25 feet without loss of signal. 1/4" TRS can be used for inserts, stereo lines, etc. 1/4" TS look exactly like a 1/4" TRS but the TS is mono (TS is used for guitar cables or line level cables).Nov 15, 2008');})();(function(){window.jsl.dh('_0sRsYL6aGq7R0PEPi7u9qA044','
As long as you have a good connection all around, shouldn't be a problem. 3.5mm jacks got a bad reputation because they are often cheaply-built. However, in that regard, I would worry more about the female jack than the plug- unless it's gonna be getting pulled on by the wire a lot, it'll probably be fine.Oct 30, 2011

An XLR to RCA cable converts a balanced audio signal into an unbalanced signal. This is good for sending audio signals from an XLR source to an RCA input, or vice versa. Regardless of direction, the result will be an unbalanced signal. This is a premium quality cable with gold plated connectors at each end.
