The transfer function of a first order high pass filter is derived in the below equations. The transfer function is defined as the ratio of Output voltage to input voltage. Therefore, it shows zero magnitude for lower frequency and Maximum magnitude for higher frequency.Jan 13, 2020');})();(function(){window.jsl.dh('_YituYO-yFI7f-gSWoqmoDQ51','
You can look at the values of the transfer function as frequency approaches zero and infinity. A low-pass-filter transfer function will go to zero as frequency approaches infinity while a high-pass filter will not.
