Why N-channel mosfet is widely used?

So for n-type enhancement type MOSFETs, a positive gate voltage turns \u201cON\u201d the transistor and with zero gate voltage, the transistor will be \u201cOFF\u201d. For a p-channel enhancement type MOSFET, a negative gate voltage will turn \u201cON\u201d the transistor and with zero gate voltage, the transistor will be \u201cOFF\u201d.
