How do I put a MicroSD card in a USB adapter?

Plug the USB end of the adapter into an open USB port on the side of your computer. Align the card so that the metal grooves are facing downward. Insert the MicroSD card into the slot in the adapter. Double-click the "USB Removable Disk" option on your desktop to access the files on the MicroSD card.
