Why do Jehovah Witnesses not celebrate birthdays?

Jehovah's witnesses do not celebrate birthdays because we refuse to give an act of worship to (Artemis) the Pagan goddess of birthdays. We instead choose to remain loyal to Jehovah God, and to him alone.
