Is Lithium Grease safe on rubber?

Silicone grease is safe on rubber and actually helps to keep it soft. Any other grease with a mineral oil base will degrade natural rubber. "White lithium grease" is a bit of a general term - unless you know its composition I would advise keeping it away from natural rubber.Feb 22, 2011
