Does voltage divider in parallel?

In a series circuit ,the voltage across the circuit is the sum of the voltages across each component. In a parallel circuit, the voltage across each of the components is the same. (R1+R2)//(R3+R4) , therefore voltage across R1+ R2 are same as R3+R4, find this voltage V, then use voltage divider rule again .Apr 3, 2016
