If you want to use WiFi, then yes, you do need a WiFi card of some kind. Some mobos come with one included in the form of a mini mPCIe or M. 2 card, but most don't. To add it, you can either use a PCI or PCIe card (assuming you have a slot free), or you can use a USB stick.
