STTS22H is compatible with I2C and SMBus 3.0 buses, and provides a variety of flexible operating modes, including a configurable output data rate (ODR) with a minimum rate of 1Hz and a single measurement mode that saves power. If the measured value exceeds the upper or lower temperature limit set by the user, the temperature sensor, as a slave device on the SMBus, will send a request signal to the application through the interrupt pin. The device address of I2C / SMBus can be set, and up to two STTS22H sensors can be connected to the same bus.

The power consumption of the STTS22H sensor is very low. The 1Hz ODR mode consumes only 2.0μA of current and the periodic single measurement power consumption is only 1.75μA, which helps to extend the battery life of battery-powered equipment. In standby mode with the serial port turned off, the STTS22H consumes only 0.5 μA (typical). The 1.5-3.6V operating voltage range allows the sensor to use a variety of power sources (such as small lithium batteries).

The sensor has fast processing speed, 5ms conversion time, and provides 16-bit temperature data. The package has a metal block with extremely low thermal resistance to ensure rapid measurement of ambient temperature. The sensor is calibrated before leaving the factory, with a typical accuracy of 0.25 ° C in the range of -10 ° C to 60 ° C, without the need for user calibration. The STTS22H is now in production in a 2.0mm x 2.0mm x 0.5mm 6-lead UDFN compact thin package.
